Young Composers Application

Tuition costs:

$1,500 for new students
$1,400 for returning students
Referral discounts are available. See below.

Student Information:

Do you have access to a computer?
Do you have access to the notatin software, FINALE? (not required)

Parent Information:

Parental or Guardian consent is mandatory (for students under age 18)
Parent's will be asked to sign a consent form upon orientation.

Music Experience:

Have you taken Mark Vance's composistion courses previously?
Have you studied composition with anyone other than Mark Vance previously? If yes, please attach copy (not original) of your composition.

Music Instructor Information:

Contact information for one music instructor
We'd like to get feedback from a current or most recent instructor that you are working with or have worked with. Please provide us with a name, email, and/or phone number.

Referrals:

We are pleased to offer a referral discount for our Composers Project class. Returning students who have referred this class to another student and new students who have been referred to this class can receive a $50 discount. To take advantage of this offer, simply enter the name of the student who referred you or who you referred when registering for the class. 

Payment Information:

Tuition for our Composers Project course is expected to be paid in full at the time of registration. Alternatively, a deposit may be paid in order to reserve a seat in the class. If this is difficult please contact Mark Vance to set up a payment plan. Tuition must be paid in full by March 1st, 2023.

If circumstances preclude you from paying full tuition, partial scholarships may be available. Contact Nevada County Composers Cooperative at nccomposerscooperative@gmail.com
